Interchangeable head boring bars with anti-vibration dampener system.

Introduction

KAV boring bar series is a tooling solution with a unique anti-vibration mechanism with interchangeable heads for a variety of deep hole machining applications. Deep hole boring applications puts significant stress on the workpiece, and the lathe itself. Maintaining rigidity and stability throughout the operation is essential to avoid vibrations, chatter, or deflection. KAV provides unique build-in anti-vibration design which ensures superior anti-chatter performance for excellent surface finish, smooth machining, and extended tool life. Furthermore, the interchangeable head types open a variety of machining applications and with a strong fastening with serrated joint structure it is easy and reliable to operate.
