KYOCERA UNIMERCO Tooling A/S integrates business operations and core areas of Weber Technologies GmbH

KYOCERA UNIMERCO Tooling A/S, headquartered in Sunds, Denmark, and part of the global Kyocera Corporation (Kyoto, Japan), announces the integration of business operations and core areas of Weber Technologies GmbH (Potsdam, Germany), effective September 1, 2025. The business will be integrated into KYOCERA UNIMERCO Tooling GmbH, based in Neuss. Weber Technologies is a recognised specialist in CVD diamond coatings. The acquisition is a strategic technology investment that strengthens Kyocera’s ability to expand CVD diamond coatings across multiple industries and business units worldwide.

A key element is continuity: Dr. Frank-Reinhard Weber, founder and former owner of Weber Technologies, will join Kyocera as Head of Diamond Coating Technology, ensuring stability and expertise in Potsdam. The existing team will also stay in place and be strengthened to support future growth. Dr Frank-Reinhard Weber explains: “Remaining a part of the team and continuing the journey together was very important to me. Together with Kyocera’s global resources, we can now bring CVD diamond coating technology to a much broader range of applications than ever before.”
