Ken Ishii awarded with JSPM Award for continuous efforts at Kyocera

Ken Ishii of Corporate Industrial tool Group received the JSPM Award for Distinguished Achievements in Development at the Association Awards 2020.

The award was given at an online awards ceremony held on June 3, for his long-standing efforts after joining Kyocera in 1997, to establish the manufacturing technologies of such as ceramic tools, cermet tools, and carbide tools and its commercialization, as well as for his efforts to advance and develop powder metallurgy technology.

 

Ishii had been serving as General manager of Corporate Industrial tool group from April 2009 to March 2020 and retired at the end of June this year. We would like to thank our customers and business partners for a long time.

 

Kyocera will continue to develop attractive new products, propose a new world of tools that combine digital solutions, and contribute to the productivity improvement of customers as a comprehensive tool manufacturer.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for the support and cooperation of many people that I have been highly evaluated for the efforts in the cutting tool business while being involved in powder and powder metallurgy for many years

 

I will retire from Kyocera Corporation at the end of June. I would like to express my deepest gratitude for your continued support.
